Our state-of-the-art VIA (Visual Imaging Analysis) grading system enables us to assess carcass quality with an unrivalled degree of accuracy and reward our farmers accordingly.

In 2014 we became the first UK meat producer to introduce VIA grading. The technology has been growing in popularity in Ireland over the last decade and we passionately believe in the potential of the grading system, particularly when it comes to improving cattle carcass quality.

The digital cattle grading system and our 15-point payment grid refine the premiums and discounts paid for individual cattle. That means that in the short term we can more accurately reward our farmers for the quality of their livestock, and in the long term we can encourage improved carcass yields.

Our use of VIA grading technology is a UK first.
