The UK division of ABP Beef has 13 sites across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland supplying fresh and frozen products into retailers, discounters, foodservice companies, online, and on for further manufacturing.

The Butchery Apprenticeship standard is currently available at both Level 2 and 3 lasting between 18-24 months. We are looking to recruit Butchery Apprentices for our Boning Hall and Primary Processing to join our team.. On successful completion of both levels, apprentices will be entitled to automatic registration to full membership of the Institute of Meat.
Located in rural Shropshire, ABP Ellesmere is the most advanced beef production site in Europe. ABP has invested over £20 million to make Ellesmere a state-of-the-art, carbon neutral processing site. The site is able to fulfil the entire processing procedure from farm to fork of butchery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend factory and classroom as required, and acquire an understanding of customer specifications and monetary impact.
Follow instruction from Training Supervisor.
Complete all classwork requirements within agreed standards.
Attend meetings when required by the manager.
Liaise and communicate with colleagues and departments.
Complete all on the job training.
Be aware of health and safety and Hygiene procedures at all times.
Keep Hygiene standards at all times
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
Knowledge and Experience:
The Butchery Apprenticeship will offer:
-£7.12 per hour
-Full accredited training (duration 18 - 24 months),

The ability to work well in a team
