Supporting our local ecosystems.

Biodiversity

Through our biodiversity corridors, we are protecting our natural environment. After all, it’s the balance of our ecosystem that ensures the sustainable productivity of crops and livestock.

Biodiversity provides valuable functions for agricultural production. Our woodland areas have been planted with native species such as ash, alder, oak and birch. We hope these areas will attract a wide variety of wildlife including finches, swifts, hedgehogs, squirrels, bees and butterflies.

Our biodiversity corridors enable our UK food production activity to become more intense without ever putting the biological diversity of our local ecosystems at risk. Looking ahead, we hope these biodiversity corridors will have a real and positive impact on our business and our local environments.

There are around 250 different bee species in the UK.
